Muff
Where is our £1m signing? Is he still suffering from burn-out, still needing a rest? I'd like to know why Wally wasted this amount of money on a player who was neither good enough nor going to get a game. Yet another player who will waste away, eating up our wages. No doubt we'll pay him off too.

Bluenose_Pete
Can say the same for Edu and Lafferty.... both very rarely get a game and theres 6mil for the pair... not to mention whatever they are on in their contracts.
Amac9
As Danny said it was something to do with Smith thinking JCD would leave in the summer so he signed him as a replacement. But JCD has been gone for a couple of months now and still no sign of him. Plus, what I have seen in the reserve games he looks slightly overweight. At least they feature, Lafferty does anyway and are youngish - Velicka is almost 30 and can't even get a game for the reserves at times. Surely we should have waited to see who had gone, before rushing in and blowing £1m on him, especially when there were more important areas of the team needing addressed? TannochsideBear
Surely we should have waited to see who had gone, before rushing in and blowing £1m on him, especially when there were more important areas of the team needing addressed? That is of course the correct action that should have been taken. But we went out and blew the whole summer budget (£6) on Miller, Lafferty and Velicka before selling anyone, and before getting the areas of the team strengthened that badly needed it. The end result of that complete and utter mis-management was the Kaunas debacle.
Bluenose_Pete
TBH The signings were to make us happy... and take the heat of murray by getting a few signings. And it did for a while.... but what's his plan now?
Leiper
I think this was a bit of bad business by Walter. I don't rate him at all and don't think he should be anywhere near our squad. Whenever i have seen him, he looks rusty, un-fit and has less manouvreability than Kris Boyd.

Danny
I've seen him once... first game of the season i think it was against Falkirk? (My uncle died that day) I Remember it well. He's played for us twice that I can remember. Pre-season friendly against Schalke and his header hit the post. Then that game you mention where he scored a goal. And was never seen again. He's been given a very raw deal imo.

Have you seen his career stats? What's so impressive about them? A good return for FBK Kaunas, 2 in 19 for Lithuania (scored against Andorra and Estonia), 20 in 50 for Hearts and 3 in 11 for Viking FK? In fairness, he wasn't deemed good enough to start week in week out at both Hearts and Viking. He's absolutely woeful. He's slower than Kris Boyd (somehow) and his touch is worse than Kenny Miller's. The Aaron reserve comparison is ridiculous. Aaron came over without the slightest idea of Scottish football, the English language and was built like the side of a five pound note. Velicka is apparently at the peak of his career and already has experience of the SPL. A journeyman.

Coming off the bench as Callum Elliot was deemed a better option to start on the evening. To be honest, it's quite embarrassing that he's even at Rangers.
