I'd have the 20-22 year old Barry Ferguson over any midfielder we've had at the club in my lifetime.

Ferguson was absolutely out of this world though. If you don't believe me, have a quick search and you'll see storys linking the likes of Wenger and Irureta with multi million pound moves for him.

He dominated games against Paul Scholes.

He dominated games against Lothar Matthaus.

He dominated games against Stefan Effenberg.

He domintaed games against Dino Baggio.

Now though? I'd probably swap him for Morgaro Gomis.

By the way, i'm not meaning to do a disservice to Pedro. He's obviously a special player and a gentleman, he's also had a far more successful career than Ferguson.

The injuries have killed him. It's not his fault that he picked up the injuries he has, but maybe he has taken advantage of his incredible power at the club in as much as he's decided when and where he'll make his ridiculously early comebacks.
