easterhouse64
why wasnt davis played in his true cm position and fleck, aaron given the wide positions, because lets face it, lafferty or davis are not wide midfielders

But it is hard to win every game playing fancy football and winning 3-0 If Aaron or Fleck were played wide left yesterday we would have tore Hamilton apart down that side. Poetry_In_Blue
We could have won by a lot more if we were more composed in the final third as we had enough chances especially in the first half.

We are accusing Walter of being to defensive but we had something liek 25 shots on goal and over ten corners.......we certainly should have scored more......even after Whittaker came on...... GrandSuckMaster
I actually agree with Walters team selection in this instance. He sent out a team with experience (Lafferty may be young, but he still has quite a lot of experience), knowing that all the players he put out would know how to win the game and get a job done. If Fleck or Aaron played, the game could easily have passed them by as it quite often does with 'flair' players, leaving us with effectively 10 men. Although Lafferty was mince, Walters thinking was that he would add a bit more steel to the midfield than Fleck or Aaron, which should have been the case, but unfortunately he was shite and Walter realised and took him off. The reason for introducing Whittaker was along the same lines.
Scott-RFC
We had 3 left mids on the bench, played a striker at left mid, then replaced the striker with a right back

Muff
With the players on the park we should have beaten the 3, 4 or 5-0, we just didn't take our chances, but like Papac keeps on saying, all that matters is winning! Saying that, had we had someone else than Lafferty out on the left, we'd have created even more chances!

We did 1 - Nil while the mhanks bang in 7 against similar opposition They were playing at home and against 10 men, as for the form book Hamilton were topping the table until after we beat them, so really wouldn't class them as similar opposition based on that. BeerGut86
Lafferty being played out of position again was the only disapointment for me, that and Boyd not scoring.

Not what i expected but he played well, we kept on creating chances and it finished any threat hamilton had down that wing...a good substitution..... Another thing about the "similar" opposition, the last team to score against Hamilton at home before us was Celtic last year!

Yeah I heard that during the commentary, an outstanding stat for them (was there not also something dodgy about the sellck goal as well…penalty that was outside the box possibly) I didn’t expect it either but it was good to see Whittaker look a bit more assured…for all he is meant to be a right sided player he has always looked more comfortable on the left for us……

Not sure now though?? Yeah about Whittaker, and Broadfoot was supposed to be more on the left of a central defence!
