When Walter Smith used to be in charge of Rangers in the 90's football was very much an 11 aside game. Substitutes werent really important and were only really used to replace injuries or freshen things up.

Walter Smith STILL uses this philosophy, very rarely does he name a bench that looks pacey, strong, athletic or has game changers on it..... and if they are there they never get on.

His substitutes are predictable, happen at the wrong time in the game and very rarely have an impact ( Well not a positive one anyway) He doesn't even use all 3 substitutes in most games, Which has cost us many times this season

When you look at Managers such as Jose Mourinho, Alex Ferguson, Guus Hiddink, Pep Guardiola etc etc they make changes at crucial times in the game and look to exploit their opponents weaknesses! They also arent afraid to replace their top players if it just isnt working. When was the last time Walter did this?

Someone should tell Walter that modern day football demands that you use 14 players on a matchday and that no player is untouchable.

Had to laugh at that one. Most the time his substitutions are most puzzling and I find myself thinking what the hells he done that for.

The naismith sub wasnt even predictable, we were crying out for someone else instead of boyd, how he stayed on the park I dont know, and then to top it all off, Naismith does nothing when he comes on, Walter is hampering us, If anything, bringing in a new manager now would at least hopefully give us that winning streak honeymoon period that most managers get :craphead:
