Gid 46
Where are they getting the money? Sounds like a load of gash to me.
Muff 245
A little bit injury prone, and inconsistant but he's a good player on his day. Again like Fortune, Commons is better than anything they currently have.
Amac9 2,060
I wouldn't be too fussed if they spent £3.5m on Commons. Fortune and Commons does not really worry me tbh.
Jambo 28
Well they have replaced Hesselink with Fortune Trying to replace Nakamura with Commons Fortune and Commons are better than Hesselink and Nakamura. Fortune dosn't worry me, Commons does.
Poetry_In_Blue 1,043
I liked Commons at Forest but is now a wanker cause he went to Derby, tried to tout him as a player for us when he was out of contract.
Muff 245
Commons is better than anything we have, Fortune is a good player aswell. That money could have been spent better, but if they get Commons then it's an improvement on what they have. They are also on the verge of signing Landry N'Guemo on loan, who is just as good as Stephane Mbia IMO. Three players who will strengthen a celtc side. Amac9 2,060
For the money they spent on Fortune and the money they may well spend on Commons shows that they have money to splash around. But for £7.3m they could have spent it on a lot better.

As good as they are/were in their respective leagues, how will they fair against the rough and tumble of an SPL campaign ? its like no other league i watch
Muff 245
I don't see Fortune having a problem; he's strong and physical. Not too sure on Commons, but he plays in the Championship, and that's pretty physical.
papaguy51 912
Again, not fussed. They still have a god awful defence and I still don't see many goals in that frontline.
Amac9 2,060
I don't rate Fortune that much but he might do a decent job in the SPL due to his physique and the way the game is played. But I'm sure Bougherra will keep him in check, providing he is still here of course.
Gaz52 11,837
This must be to replace Atemydog then I'd rather have Davis

Muff 245
This must be to replace Atemydog then I'd rather have Davis Davis is a CM who's been playing on the right, Kris Commons is a left winger, a position that we have failed to fill in years. They are different players so you can't compare them. They might not get him, but at least Mopery is showing that he means buisness by trying to address the areas of the park that need improved. It wont be long before he tries to shore up their defence.

Amac9 2,060
Derby insist they have not received any approach from Celtic after reports linked Kris Commons with a move to the Scottish giants. The Scotland international winger has drawn admiring glances from clubs in both the Premier League and SPL after a series of impressive performances at Pride Park. Commons joined the Rams on a free transfer from Nottingham Forest last summer but would command a sizeable transfer fee were he to move on in the transfer window. Manager Nigel Clough has previously insisted that the 25-year-old remains an important member of his squad, but admitted they would have to consider their options if they received an offer of 'silly money'. Speculation Celtic are the latest club to be linked with a possible swoop as new manager Tony Mowbray looks to bolster his squad. But Rams chairman of football Adam Pearson has stated there has been no contact from the Bhoys. He told the Derby Evening Telegraph: "We have heard nothing from Celtic and can only presume it is speculation. "Kris is an important member of the team." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11696_5411637,00.html

I thought Commons was a right-winger im sure thats where i seen him play for Scotland, against Iceland (away). So thats why i compared them
Blue Stars Bearette 1
well they hardly have any debt, have gotten rid of Bobo n Hartley and maybe more they got stung by not buying in January so they are going for it now and really splashing the cash
