Amac9 2,060 Posted July 8, 2009 Share Posted July 8, 2009 We will be unable to get rid of the deadwood at the club (Ferguson, Adam, McCulloch, Gow, Beasley, Webster, S.Smith, G.Smith) and we will be stranded with them sitting in the stands, bench or playing when they are not good enough to enhance the team. If indeed this happens, we will be forced to sell our top players such as Davis, Bougherra and Thomson for example to try and balance the books a bit and cut the size of the squad down. I reckon like always, we will fail to move on the deadwood, they'll either sit on the bench or in the stands and continue to pick up wages, which will result in us not being able to get the players we desperatley need. A few might move on near the end but only on loan deals. I also reckon we'll lose one or two of our better players. My main worry is that Barry Ferguson will still be at the club come the start of next season, we'll be told he's looked good in pre-season training, and that he's out to prove the doubters wrong for the 97454637 time. He'll start the season in the middle of the park, and it will effect our performances. Every season we try to move on players, and fail big time. That's what happens when you sign/tie down awful players on long term contracts. None of the better sides want them, and because they are at Rangers, none of the smaller clubs can afford them.
