DougieJ 0
The title of Darryl Broadfoot's article in the Herald about the MoJo signing- Two Sides, One Story - could apply equally to these two articles. Darryl's: http://www.theherald.co.uk/sport/headlines...s_one_story.php strongly highlights the Rangers fans' opposition to the signing and implies that the worst that Celtic fans did was to paint a blue nose on his photo in Baird's bar (the merry craicsters) while the Wikipedia entry for Johnston http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mo_Johnston gives, I think, I much more balanced and truthful account. The Wiki entry highlights Celtic fans' 'Judas' stuff and the 'Celtic-minded' issue. Anyone else notice this? By the way, I'm not supporting the season ticket/scarf burners at all. To me, even apart from the religious angle, anyone who couldn't see that us signing Johnston was good news for us and bad news for them was not someone I'd want to be associated with our club in any case. Most of the "season ticket/scarf burners" was just the press whipping it up. Came to light later that at least one of the photographed "burners" was actually a Smeltic fan

I cannot believe it has really changed that much since the discredited journalist left. I stopped buying it years ago because it was even worse that the tabloids in it's bias against all things Rangers.

Came to light later that at least one of the photographed "burners" was actually a Smeltic fan and they were paid for their performance by photographers in the rhebel on orders of then editor and heavy jhungle jim cassidy allegedly, 1st catholic editor of the rhebel, it was him who had a sustained attack on The Goalie in both the liam and the rhebel

kplfishtank 4,640
at the time when we were to play at the piggery there was unconfirmed reports that the pubs in gallowgate had a fund set aside for any fan who attacked mojo on the pitch maybe BD would know if this was indeed fact or maybe they were just more high jinx from the jolly craicsters
MisterC 11,804
As if those jolly japesters would ever do anything like that! I mean would those paragons of tolerance and respectfulness really set out to defend the indefensible? Come on now Den, these are the greatest fans in the world whose reputation you are besmirching! I always suspect thats why he has opted to go abroad. Got a feelin said pubs have came to an 'arrangement' with him he stays well away !
MisterC 11,804
The safe house in Edinburgh had a shed in the garden that caught fire one night, according to a book I read, however it is unclear whether it was just coincidence or something sinister. As you say BD, he didnt have minders for nothing and you can bet if an ex Ger signed for them and minders were needed that this would be the scandal of the century
