Happened to see a copy of the Sunday Mail

I know things have been fairly quiet during the close season at Ibrox, in fact even deathly quiet to a level I don't previously recall ever seeing before.

But if the Sunday Mail is to be believed, Celtic are the only team in Glasgow.

There are a few other teams in the SPL apparently, but Rangers didn't even merit a sentence of coverage.

No player articles, no garbage transfer nonsense, no nothing.

In all my years, I don't ever recall a western Scottish newspaper ever having zero coverage of Rangers in its Sunday edition.

I wish people would stop getting so worried about the lack of xfer rumours and coverage of the squad. Celtic have had to start pre season earlier because the have CL qualifiers. We as the champions only returned to pre season training on THURSDAY..... The lads and management deserved the extra week or so that they have got...... I`m sure in the next few days were hear more and more about who were looking at and more about the squad

There's enough material on our official site to suggest there are things happening at Ibrox, even minor ones. Yet none of this can get into the paper?

Hear, Hear!

Can't agree more - the close season might be dull, but that's what happens - Some people seem unable to turn off when the season is finished. I am obviously looking forward to the start of the season, but it's a whole month away. I'm not interested in every bit of tittle tattle that the low rent football print press eak out for a story. Also we have a manager who keeps his business dealings to himself, so I would say, get a hobby or start watching the golf and cricket, or even read a book - the new season doesn't start till the 15th August! (and if you really can't wait, there are the usually phenomenally dull pre-season friendlies (I won't be going!) to get your juices flowing.

I prefer the silence from Ibrox compared to the chaos and drama that has been Celtic's pre season. A new managerial appointment that took too long. Lack of time for the new manager to build a new team. Competitive action not far off with a new team that is no where near completion (remind anyone of us last year).

All is quiet at Ibrox. A settled team that has had a well earned extended break. I believe that Wattie will deal in to the transfer market, however he is in a position where he need not rush buy and can pick the right players for the right price.
