should be on t.v!! i will be there but i feel for the fans who cant make it to ibrox!!

Were the previous three "unfurlings" televised live? I think so. Funny that!

In saying that seeing the sheep beat the tims isn't the worst way to spend your Saturday lunchtime! :D

I hope so but the sheep look pretty abysmal pre season.

Think it's pretty shocking to be honest. Does anyone else think it may reflect some sort of stupid perception within sporting society that Rangers' glorious title win last season was in a way some sort of fluke and ra Sellick will 'put it right' this season???

(It's pretty shocking that we're not on telly but maybe I'm just being paranoid!)

Last season we were live on the first weekend - at Pittodrie - Beasley 'scored' in the last minute and it was disallowed despite him being a full two yards onside. The unwashed game wasn't to my memory televised live, but then again, I don't watch them when they're on.

That was the third weekend mate. First game was Falkirk away and then we played Hearts at Ibrox. (tu)

Celtic's opening game was televised on the Saturday and our game against Falkirk was televised on the Sunday.

The Falkirk game was on live, but I think Celtic unfurled the flag against Killie on the Saturday early-afternoonish and that was also live.

In fact, thinking back to our game against Falkirk, maybe it's no surprise they don't want it on. It was absolute bloody dross :anguish:

Having already watched Aberdeen, there's fuck all chance of that happening.

That's not even taking into account that they're managed by Celtic's biggest fan.

Probably should have checked that before posting, memory's not what it used to be!

I blame the drink :craphead:

It was a truly terrible game.

Every cloud has a silver lining though, as I think that performance (coupled with Kaunas) eventually pushed Murray over the edge to release funds for Davis, Mendes and Edu (tu)

I actually support the decision not to televise the Falkirk match.

Other than the fact we are unfurling the title flag, a home match against Falkirk, who are expected to really struggle this season, is pretty much a non-event as far as live TV goes.

If they only have 60 games to choose throughout the season, they are right to hold their fire on a pretty routine home win for the Champions.

From memory, the flag unfurling is a pretty drab affair anyway. There always seems to be little or no wind and the flag just drops. A big cheer from the bears but the whole thing is done and dusted in about a minute. Hardly a televisual treat.

We are champions, it is our moment to unfurl our league flag in our traditional manner. Bears around the world will see it on highlights reels, and probably more than a few picking up live feeds as well on various internet streams.

I am sure most bears would rather have all our away games televised live when there are ticket restrictions and we cannot all get along to see the match.

Regardless of the opposition you'd think the unfurling of the flag by the countries champion side would be television worthy

Apart from the minor fact that our media have been trying to gloss over the small fact that RANGERS are the champions ergo the best team in the country

I feel Timmy's pain. This just heightens it.
