Ryan_1 1,136
Massive match for Scotland, IMO they need a win if they want to qualfy as one of the best placed runners-up. If I was Burley, I would go for a 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation like the one we are using at the moment and hope for the wingers to support the lone striker as much as possible. I'd go with; -------------------N.Alexander------------------- ---Hutton---G.Caldwell---Berra---Whittaker--- ----------------------Hartley--------------------- -------------Brown----------D.Flecther--------- ---McCormack----------------------Naismith-- ----------------------Miller---------------------- C'Mon Scotland!! FlippinEck 3,705
I like the scottish national team but I have lost all confidence under Burley
Boab 73
I don't think Naismith will start, think it will be McFadden in that position.
Zappa 358
I think there's a good chance he'll play Marshall in goal. We definitely need the win, but I'm not confident we'll get it under Burley. He'll possibly go with McFadden & Miller up front & if it's a 4-3-3 he'll possibly go with them + Maloney or McCormack before Naismith. I hope he does play Naismith though, but it IS George Burley picking the team after all.

Amac9 2,060
Now as I'm not a Scotland fan but someone who likes to see Scotland do well I hope they get a good result. But as a Rangers fan I hope that Alexander can do himself justice and that Miller, Whittaker and Naismith get through the match unscathed
SUPERCOOPER 115
I wonder what Rangers player(s) will get tarred and feathered this time
Juno 2
I still like Burley and I still have faith we'll qualify. Shame on you if you don't.
NOLUWDC 1
Scotland to win 2-1. I would probably go for the team in the OP but McFadden will probably start. Do we have any other left backs ?
bjorkland 13
'Mon Scotland. I really hope this is the confidence boosting win we need. Hope Alexander does himself proud. Would also like to see McCormack start. 2-0.
Zappa 358
Do we have any other left backs ? I think Callum Davidson & Jamie McAllister are Burley's Left Back choices. I doubt that Burley will play Whittaker there, despite the fact that he would probably do well there, as he has for Rangers at times.
Zappa 358
I'll go for 2-1 to us. A man can hope.

Ryan_1 1,136
I don't think Naismith will start, think it will be McFadden in that position. You're probably right, I just thought maybe Steven Naismith's pace would be a good option for us on the counter. I'd rather Kris Commons over Mcfadden though. Another one I could maybe see happening is Graham Alexander coming into the midfield as the holding player, where I have Hartley. Really hope Steven Caldwell, Callum Davidson and David Clarkson don't feature. Truely terrible players.
NOLUWDC 1
To be honest, our attacking options aren't that bad. Miller, Naismith, Commons, McFadden, McCormack...

Ryan_1 1,136
Callum Davidson........Preston North End How the hell does he still get in the team? He's poor, I am sure he been made captain of Preston and scored a penalty at the weekend, but, I still wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.

Ryan_1 1,136
If you stick Kevin Thomson in there and we find two good CB's and a natural left back we'd have a very strong team. A midfield of; -------------Thomson----------- -------Brown-------Flecther----- Looks brilliant.
