joeli 27
Never heard of him, signed from Alloa......... [Alloa Athletic manager Allan Maitland has confirmed the club have agreed a six-figure deal with Celtic for the transfer of forward Greig Spence to Parkhead. The 17-year-old has been signed by Tony Mowbray for the club's youth ranks, days after the Celtic manager sealed a treble signing swoop for Stockport County teenagers Josh Thompson, Curtis Jones and Michael Ordish. Maitland had the forward tied up on a deal until May 2011. Spence was on the books of Rangers as a schoolboy but has now joined their Glasgow rivals, pending a medical later this week. Maitland said: “It's a great move for Greig. We couldn't hold him back. The only way you can develop as a footballer is to go full-time. “It'll be a bit of an adjustment for him going from first-team football back into the under-19s. “He'll have to work hard to return to that environment.”]
