Nacho facing some weeks out

NACHO NOVO is facing a considerable lay-off after it was confirmed that he has dislocated his left shoulder.

The Spanish striker had scans yesterday following a training accident last Friday and the initial prognosis was proved correct.

Now Novo will see a specialist next week in a bid to find a course of treatment that will enable him to return to action sooner rather than later.

Novo had been flying in pre-season and scored in the 3-2 win over Manchester City on August 5 and was all set to feature against Portsmouth last Saturday.

However, he suffered the damage to his shoulder in training ahead of the Portsmouth game and it will be next month at least before he will be available again.

He was looking really sharp in pre season and i would have expected him to play a bit more this season if we're sticking to this 4-3-3. It seemed to be Him Naismith and Miller was the first choice front 3.

He such an unlucky man though.

Not good news at all. Novo looked decent enough in pre-season, and was just starting to look good in that 4-3-3 formation, and once again he picks up an injury.

We need signings!

The season hasn't begun and already we have; Novo, Edu, Broadfoot....out injured, along with Thomson not being fullt fit - we have a very thin squad lacking in certain areas!

Unless we get people in, then we are going to struggle. Especially with a 39 year old over the hill CB, Bougherra potentially away on African Nations duty, along with the injuries we always pick up during a season.

With Nacho we're not quite sure as he has to go and see a specialist on Wednesday. It's the second time his shoulder has come out so we're not sure what the specialist will recommend. In one scenario he could be out for a few months, but in another he might be back a bit quicker than that. So we'll just have to wait and see.
