contacts 0
One of my friends in the ticket office told me that they are just about to reach the 39k mark for season tickets for the coming season. For me that is a superb result given the economic climate. Last season we had 42k as the club obviously keep selling them all season and they sell a lot round about Christmas time so hopefully we will reach last years figures as the season progresses. well done bears..... plymouthranger 4,364
Its good to see, but the spare 10,000 or so is good news for us bears who can't realistically buy a season ticket and get to their moneys worth of games!

No offense mate, but that is probably the most fudish post i have read this year. Who the feck do you think you are telling me if i am or am not a fan. A trip to four Gers games (my average per season) would easily cost more than a season ticket and bus fares around Glasgow. Considering I have only just left full time education, I spend a sizeable amount of money on following my team. When i'm not at games, I have a 40mile round trip just to get to the nearest Rangers pub (believe it or not, Plymouthger doesn't live in Plymouth exactly!). Get off your feckin high horse son, I have more Rangers annuals and books and journals on the clubs history than most Scottish libraries. Sorry contacts to deviate away from the original post, but some people thinking that they are a better fan because of their geographical and financial situation, really gets on my tits

AMMS 27
Does the original poster know if that has exceeded expectations? It's what a 7% drop on last season? With Champions League football guaranteed and a successful season last year I'd imagine they might be disappointed with that. Credit crunch I suppose is easy to blame, but I wonder if it is part of a deeper malaise. Still, 39,000 is a lot of people.
Frankie 505
I believe Rangers (and Celtic) were expecting a drop of around 10-15% on season book sales due to the recession. Hence, those figures make pleasant reading from Contacts...

It's Only the Subway Loyal That Are not Real Fans,Who Leave with 20 Mins to go. Or Leave when we are beating someone 2-0 3-0 or more, and they just Leave. Because they Know the Teams Won. I go to All Home Games. And Have Done For 6 Years Now,I also Went to A Few Away Games Last Year. But That was just with Luck That I got On a wee Supporters bus i'll not be going to many this year but. (Away) If I get days off,or Get A supporters Bus that is Local To Me Or Easy To get to I might get to A Few?. But Last Year I had to Travel From Clydebank To Bridgeton Just to get the bus. That was A Bit Dear for me And Quite Far Away. But was Brilliant.
