'Was SDM a Good Chairman of Rangers?'

7 words Minstral. Which didn't you like?

The word 'good'? :P

Possibly it was the simplistic choices on offer

Well making a "mixed opinion" option would be against the point of me making this poll.

The point was, do the positives outweigh the negatives?.

It's your poll, it's up to you what options you put.

But obviously a number of us haven't voted because there's no option for us.

I'd think Murray would be happy with the result of this poll.

Really?

Last year the Club was pretty scathing about 'internet fans'.

Do you think they are so shallow as to suddenly do a 180 because a badly worded poll lends some support?

Not all of them, just the ones that slander him online.....

Slander

(the act of making) an untrue spoken, not written, statement about a person with the intention of damaging that person's reputation

His 10 for 5 quote destroyed his reputation more than anyone on any internet messageboard ever could.

That's my defence M'lud, I was trying to save us both from any further Timmy derision.

Hmmm. maybe the quote was meant to be taken as literally as people like you have taken it; he should have known his audience I guess......

Surely if it was genuinly slander, a man in his position would perhaps, take some action if it was damaging his name, or, had no foundation in the truth?

Just a thought :pipe:

I don't remember that distinction being made.

He talked about it a lot, he was quite clear the people he was talking about, he even gave examples(inclusing one in his leaving interviews last week)......

Why would he dislike people who agreed with him/didn't think he was satan just because they used the internet, that wouldn't make much sense ?

He talked about people slandering him? As I say, I don't recall him saying that, but if you heard him then fair enough.
