thomson to protect the back 4 and let novo, davis, mendes, rothen attack the opposition and feed balls into miller.

would alter it and take novo out and bring edu in for the away games bit more stability but still with more of an attacking threat

Not a lot of width, but with Thomson sitting in front of Weir & Bougherra, it would allow Whittaker & Papac to venture forward a little more. Rothen looks like he could be a danger if he was given the same role Buffel had, but slightly more left than central!

I'd go with the winning team of just now. If Thomson or Edu can come in and player at there best then one them for Big Lee. Boyd a reckon will be dropped for either Novo / Lafferty or Rothen

yh, edu and thomson can win the ball while davis, mendes and rothen can support miller.

also edu can go up in support as he is more of a box to box midfielder.
