BLUEDIGNITY 34,086
. . . the road. Redeem yourselves. You know it makes sense ! Ex-Rangers star Alan Hutton settles cash row with former agent over Spurs switch Sep 22 2009 By Keith McLeod A FORMER Rangers star must shell out thousands of pounds to a former agent he said "bullied and pressured" him over a move away from his heroes. John Lonergan claimed that Alan Hutton owed him £350,000 plus interest for brokering his £8million transfer to Tottenham Hotspur in January last year. Hutton, 24, hit back in court papers saying that Lonergan had been fired before the transfer went through and the deal was arranged by another agent, who got £100,000. But before the case could go to a hearing yesterday at Glasgow Sheriff Court, legal teams thrashed out a secret settlement - thought to be a large chunk of what Lonergan was claiming. The agent, from Glasgow, said later: "It's over. I'm saying nothing. The case has been settled to my satisfaction." Papers lodged with the court said that Hutton, capped 13 times by Scotland, knocked back three bids to get him to move to the London club. They stated: "He advised Mr Lonergan that he had no desire to leave Rangers and that he was a lifelong Rangers fan. "It became clear that despite his wish to remain with the club, the club strongly wished to sell him." The relationship between the two soured after Hutton refused to sign a sponsorship deal with Nike which had been negotiated by Lonergan. Hutton claimed that his dad told Lonergan he was no longer needed as an agent before the deal went through. Hutton's papers stated: "Some time after this, Mr Lonergan attended at Mr Hutton's house unannounced. Mr Hutton felt bullied and pressured by Mr Lonergan." Lonergan said that he negotiated a wage packet of £29,000 a week for Hutton from Spurs - almost double the original offer. He also said he had offered Hutton to Aston Villa, Liverpool and Chelsea in a bid to get the player a big money move. Hutton, wearing a suit, with an open-collar shirt and sporting a silver earring, left court without saying anything. http://www.<No links to this website>/news/scottish...86908-21691916/

Jonnyboyrfc 296
he was just such a great all-round right back. when he was on form nobody could get past him and he could get past them. in old firm games he was full of fight and mcgeady was always in his back pocket. he was aggressive and tackled hard and fair then got into the occasional scrap fuckin excellent player id have him over any other right back that would want to come to rangers. please loan him back to us spurs

papaguy51 941
I can definitely see Bougherra being off in January. And if he isn't replaced, that'd pretty much be that with our season sadly. He's one of the few consistent shining lights in our side.
