A Horse With No Name 27
Generally not in favour of Walters tactics but I´d keep it tight and hopefully the Spanish might get a bit gong ho and throw caution to the wind - according to them they´re certs for the 3 points. Make no mistake about it it´s ONLY by using his tactics we´ll possibly get something tonight. As for Nacho Novo - hopefully the days of Bears lining up demanding he START games is a thing of the past, given the last 20mins he could be our match winner if the Spanish get bored with us and attack! Don´t know if i´m looking forward to this or not but tbh I don´t think anyone thinks we´ll take owt from the match and that´s where Walter usually prevails. (Not sure the sense in his coming out with the "We´ll be going for a win" routine - it´s been used before and we´ve played... well ´defensively´...) Fingers crossed! Poetry_In_Blue 1,043
4-5-1 turning into 4-3-3 I'm guessing here. We will have to defend solidly for the first twenty minutes or so, then I would expect us to at least starting to create chances. If we get a fairly early goal then it will be up to them to be more attack minded possibly giving us more room to create chances.
Amac9 2,060
Yes we will need to keep it tight as players like Fabiano, Kanoute, Negredo, Navas, Capel etc will be extremely difficult to keep quiet for 90 minutes. Why not start out with the attitude of an attacking 4-3-3 that will revert to a 4-5-1 when defending rather than vice-versa? We are the home side, we should be taking the initiative to them!
