costablancabear 0
After the dissapointment from Tuesday which left me and many others wondering just how good or bad we are, how much of a gulf in class is there between Scottish and other leagues ? I then watched Man Utd at home against Wolfsburg and it gave me a bit of a lift. Rangers travelled to Stuttgart and came away with a draw - and it made me think about what we did 2 seasons back beating 2 top German sides on the way to the UEFA Final.....Wolfsburg won the German league last season and Man Utd struggled to get the 2-1 win at home after going 1 goal down - this gave me some reassurance that we are not that far away and could still prove the doubters wrong. This put the Stuttgart result in my mind even higher than I had already thought, the standard of German football seems very good at present. We all know what we have to do to have a chance in making the last 16 and the Romanian double header is a 6 pointer for all Gers, if not we don't deserve to be in the latter stages of the Champions League IMO. So I say put the Seville result to bed and concentrate in getting back at them in December and challenging them to top spot, Follow on REGARDLESS ! Poetry_In_Blue 1,043
We went to Germany and got a draw, in a game we almost won! We played one of the top teams in Europe and if the ref wasn't such a dick and gave us a deserved penalty, which should have resulted in their player being sent off who knows what might have happened. Seville won't sit on their laurels against Stuttgart and we should beat the Romanian team, hopefully home and away, that then will throw us back into second spot in the group. We then have Stuttgart at Ibrox if I remember correctly, win that game then I think we will probably be through.
papaguy51 941
Our next two matches are home and away against Unirea, and at home to Stuttgart. I expect us to have qualified by the time we next meet Sevilla.
