Canadaready 9,437
So here we are, on the verge of a game that will shape the UEFA Cup campaign for us. From all accounts, I would say that we have a good opportunity to put Osasuna away in the first leg... they are having troubles putting the ball in the net. So, what do you think about the match and also, during the match, and after, this is your place for discussion. championee

Muff 245
My team,----------------------Klos----------------------Hutton--------Ugo---------Weir--------MurrayBurke-----Hemdani-----Thomson------Prso---------------------Ferguson---------------------------------------Boyd--------------------2-0 RangersOsasuna have travelled with only a 18 man squad and have quite a few injuries and a suspension. Lets finish the tie at Ibrox on Thursday, we have a great chance but must be cautious!
Coopermania 1
Got to win the first leg, no question. The confidence is coming back under Walter, though overall the side isnt of the standard I would like to see. However weve progressed.
Ibroxblue 131
This could be a tough tie for us. Osasuna are not one of the world's great sides - but then nor are we, to be honest. I'd be happy enough with a 1-0 win from the first leg, then try and grab an away goal or two over there.
Muff 245
Must not concede at Ibrox!
J_RFC87 766
Defense is the priority We can score goals, we just need to keep a clean sheet.
Dillinger 0
We can take them but it has to be 2-0 minimum (header) .A 1-0 victory is simply asking for history to repeat itself...
nvager 498
My team,----------------------Klos----------------------Hutton--------Ugo---------Weir--------MurrayBurke-----Hemdani-----Thomson------Prso---------------------Ferguson---------------------------------------Boyd--------------------2-0 RangersOsasuna have travelled with only a 18 man squad and have quite a few injuries and a suspension. Lets finish the tie at Ibrox on Thursday, we have a great chance but must be cautious! This is the same team as we both selected in my earlier thread.Great minds think alike and I agree with your score as well.It will be tough. The Spanish league is of a very high standard and this team were 4th last year. Valencia put out Inter Milan tonight so you can see it will be difficult.Still we can do it, but we must not concede a goal.
Muff 245
Have to take a good positive result over to Spain with us.Osasuna have Milosevic, Soldado, Pinal, Valdo and Delporte out.
Muff 245
A wee bit concerned over Klos tho, hardly any 1st team action in a long time, the Spanish may try to test him from all sorts of ranges. We will have to be on our toes, keep close to their players and close everything down. We have to be 1st to EVERY ball and if we dont win it 1st time, 2nd is a must! Stuart_RFC 41
Prso HAS to play IMO...i dont know really about the team...maybe...........................klos........................hutton.......ugo.......weir...........murray.................hemdani.....thomson.................burke..........ferguson..........prso..............................boyd....................id go with that...we cannot concede!!! 2-0 gers
rfc_no1fan 13
Should we drop Adam after his only decent performance this year........ Tough one.Burke has to play on the right hand side, On the European scene he can be the match changer.1 player who I wouldnt be surprised to see on the bench is Kris Boyd. Does he deserve to start?I think Walter will go for-----------------Klos-----------------Hutton---Ugo--------Weir---Murray--------Hemdani--Thomson--------Burke-------Ferguson--------Adam----------------Prso-----------------
Danny 9
This is a winnable game, no question. That said, Bordeaux are not a poor side and Osasuna were obviously more than a match for them, eventually beating them.We WILL have to be at our best here, but there is no reason why we can't overcome this side. If they were Sevilla, I'd be a hell of a lot more scared tbh :scared:
likeacare 9
I think we should aim for a 2-0 win at home to give ourselves a cushion for when we play away.

ChrissyBoy 0
Osasunas away form this season is extremely poor, big crowd at Ibrox and a brave performance should put them away in the 1st leg.Dunno why but thinking this may be the team ---------------------------Klos----------------------Hutton--------Hemdani---------Weir--------MurrayRae-----------Ferguson-----Thomson------Burke-------------------Novo------Boyd-------------------Got a slight feeling WS will want the cool head of Hemdani back in the centre of defense and not push Ugo into the deep end against this team. Also thinking he may opt for Rae again for the strength.
rfc_no1fan 13
Why on earth would Walter drop Ugo, Put Hemdani into the back line, Stick Rae out wide right and play burke on the left?If Ugo didnt play, Svensson would replace himIn Hapoel we were struggling for players, Hence why Rae played slightly to the right hand side. Against them at Ibrox we had no defenders, Hence why Hemdani went back and Rae came into midfield. The majority of our players are now available and noone will be played out of position. If he and Boydie are'nt doing thebusiness after 30 mins then Dado will come on.We can't allow them to scoreand we will need at least 2 goals IMO.Nacho and Barry to score. championee
