polar bear 0
As long as his arse points to the ground Kris Boyd will never ever be an advantage for our club, nor will that plonker Burke, and if Walter can't see this we are in deep shit Bears. <cry>

But with no real replacements till the Summer...we have to grin and bear it
rfc72 0
The main problem 2nite was we played 4-5-1 at home it doesnt work simply because as much as a like Kris Boyd for scoring goals etc he just cant hold the ball up and he cant play the lone striker upfront he needs help!! We should of went 4-4-2 with Novo up there with Boydy!! Am sorry but a dont like Charlie Adam he shouldnt be anywhere near the starting lineup he was woeful 2nite but he wasnt the only1 so when we go to play Celtic at the weekend it should be 4-4-2 but if he wants to play 1 upfront then get Prso in there from the start he will be able to hold the ball up
docspiderman 1,306
As much as I criticise Boyd for his lack of movement, effort, awareness of the offside rule, lack of linking ,inability to hold the ball, the bottom line is that is has always been obvious that he cannot play a lone striker role and should not be asked to do so ESPECIALLY AT HOME!!!We set up in a system that begged Ososuna to control the game and put us under pressure rather than the fast tempo ,pressing game that suits us.We are not technically good enough to play at a slow pace and why were we playing the ball in the air in these conditions?Poor tactics and the under achievers like Burke and Adam added to the incompetent Murray and with Thomson looking out of his depth made 1-1 a decent result, far better than the performance deserved. The difference Novo made was a testament to how wrong Walter got it tonight.
