MisterC 12,760
I quite liked Gavin Rae when he was captain, defo a player I would love to see back with us as I'm sure most would agree withMisterC Comrade Jeff
Muff 245
David Weir is by far a better captain than Barry Ferguson!
royalbluebell 38
Davie Weir is exactly what a Rangers captain should be. I'm proud to have him at the club.Me too, he's a great ambassador for Rangers.

Ben10 2,309
IMO barry used to slow the game down to a dismal pace..everything had to be played through him.he was good at organising the team, but the fact everything had to go bac to him pissed me off a bit, there was no flow.He made the lesser players like buffel and maurice ross shite themselves the we he talked to them, that was said by Arthur Numan. I loved the way he carried the team on his shoulders at times, but no-one is bigger than the CLUB.
Otis 1
Davie Weir both on and off the pitch is a perfect example of how a captain should be.

plymouthranger 4,268
Ferguson dragged us through seasons by himself.I've read some pish in my time but thats up there with the worst. He was nearly as big a saviour as robbie keane
Creampuff 22,630
Ferguson spent years dragging the side through full seasons.
clashcitystalker 27
Ferguson is Mr Rangers. It is a little known fact that it was a young Bazza who told David Murray to buy the club and bring in Souness

Rankin1873 69
I think if we had managed to get Davie Weir about 5-10 years ago then he would of been the best captain since Richard Gough, however I would say that Barry just shades it.
TamWATP 0
Posters saying that Barry wasn't a good role model is baffling I used to look up to him when I was younger, I wanted to be him! I'll say 95% will agree with me that are around my age group. So to say he wasn't a good role model because of one silly incident is Davie Weir is a great captain but without a doubt Ferguson was far better. SimplyTheRangers 43
you would probably have to say barry but big davie is a great role model, some thing barry wasn't.
RoyalBlueRFC 0
When it comes to European competition, its Barry Ferguson by a mile but I like David Weir's leadership during OF derbies.
Tumshie 205
On the field there have been better, more inspirational captains. Fergie and Amo immediately spring to mind but Davie Weir is everything a Rangers captain should be in the way that he conducts himself off it. I just wish he had been with us 5 seasons before he actually arrived
