Embassyno1 0
England's 5th striker So we're taking Rooney, Defoe, Crouch, Heskey and then it looks like Cole or Agbonlahor.I am not really sure how any of these players bar Rooney deserve to go above Darren Bent. This season he has scored 20 goals for an average side in possibly the toughest league. Now I like Defoe, he has serious talent and is scoring well this season and Crouch although not getting regular first team certainly shakes it up for England.I don't particularly understand the Heskey situation, he's crap and has always been crap; if his type of player was essential then why does no top team use a player like him. Inter don't, Man U don't, Chelsea don't, Arsenal don't, Barca don't, Real don't; so why England...(heh even Villa rarely!)As for C.Cole .... I can't see him being any use at all.p.s. Wright Phillips (is he A midfielder or striker?)
PaulRFC1 115
Rooney , Bent , Defoe and Zamora should all be going but i don't know about the 5th striker tho , i would probably take Crouch just because he has been pretty good for England any time he has played and has a good scoring record for them.So mine would be Rooney , Bent , Defoe , Zamora and CrouchWright Phillips is a winger mate and i don't get the Heskey situation either , i just think he is a bad player he doesn't deserve to go and if i was English i would worry about your chances of winning it with him up front. What five would you take ? If rooney gets struck by the english metatarsel curse then they will be pretty toothless upfront vif they go for heskey c cole etc

AGM_72 4,098
Rooney, Defoe, Crouch, Bent and Zamora/Agbonlahor I'm undecided on that final place too.
Tumshie 205
I don't think Capello will take 5 strikers. If he does I would take Rooney, Crouch, Defoe, Zamora and Bent
Stu1993 101
Rooney, Defoe, Crouch, Bent and Zamora/Agbonlahor I'm undecided on that final place too.to hard to choose just now, Zamora has been a big surprise for me this season, been outstanding in the Europe League. But Agbonlahor can play better than he is just now and could improve before the end of the season.
CottonRunt 1,026
Zamora deserves a shot at least. He's looked a cracking player this season, also looks much more effective than Heskey.Deserves a game or two at international level to show what he can do. Boab 73
p.s. Wright Phillips (is he A midfielder or striker?)When in the name of blazes was SWP ever a striker? Bar maybe a front 3.
Boab 73
Rooney, Defoe, Crouch, Bent and Zamora but it will be Heskey in there before Bent in this sentence. I'd have Bent in as 5th striker now that Owen is out.
Muff 245
Emile Heskey is absolutely brutal!Rooney, Defoe, Crouch, Zamora, and Agbonlahor for me, although that's not what will go.Will Defoe be fit in time?

Baratheon 16
Rooney, Defoe, Bent, Crouch, Zamora. Can't take Cole he has only had one good period this year near the start of the season Zamora has been brilliant all year same as rooney, defoe was on fire at one point he is a proven goalscorer same as bent who has scored his fair share of goals this season and Crouch's england goal scoring record says it all
Amac9 2,060
Emile Heskey should not set foot on that plance to South Africa. He is terrible!
