We can't lose this....can we?

I don't want to over-react to this terrible performance/result tonight but I am slightly concerned that this is the beginning of a slump in form. We have been riding our luck in games for weeks/months now without any fatal damage being inflicted on us results-wise.

We are 10 poinrs clear with a game in hand (Aberdeen) at home. However, our performances at home recently have been worrying. We will need to win all our four remaining games at home to retain the title because I fear that we could easily lose every away game from now until the end of the season. These games will be against Dundee Utd, Celtic, Hibs and either M/well/Dundee Utd/Hearts or St Johnstone. The home games will be Hamilton, Aberdeen and any 2 of M/well/Dundee Utd/Hearts or St Johnstone.

I accept Celtic still have to win ALL their remaining 7 games otherwise our win/loss percentage decreases but you can just see wee Lennon getting them up for every game.

I personally would never get over this if we were to throw it away now. Too many tims in my private and work life would make my life unbearable! Walter needs to do his job now and get this team up for every game as if we were chasing a 10-point lead.

On the other hand, after we beat the manks at the end of February, we went 10 points clear with a game in hand and everyone was saying that it was over. Almost one month on and we are still 10 points clear with a game in hand.

Another way of looking at it would be to reflect on the last few results. Had Celtic not have lost to St Mirren last Wednesday then we would have gone into this game 7 points ahead. A win against St Johnstone would have taken us 10 points clear and we would all be saying tonight that it's over.

Sorry for going on a bit but I needed to get this off my chest!

The cup loss to UTD was a shock, but it was easily rubbed off...

I think and hope that our players will look at a 4-1 loss as something they never want to experience again, and, for god knows what time since the turn of the year, this must be a kick up the arse.

We have the 3 games before the split; Hamilton (H), Aberdeen (H), Dundee Utd (A). Out of those games I can see us picking up 7 points. That still leaves us needing to win 2 games and that is without celtc dropping points.

I reckon we will have 3 games won going into the OF game where we could clinch it there. I just want the league wrapped up ASAP and the season over and done with!

The players and management team know what is required so go out and do it!

No way we will lose the league.

One worrying thing is this OF at the piggery. They will be right up for it under this taig bastard, and we were lucky last time.

That's my first reaction. They'll be desperate to beat us. On second thoughts this might suit us. If we stay calm and outplay them, we'll win, and oh what a sickener that will be.

To the OP, surely we'll win at least two of our remaining away games, and win all of our home games? More than enough to win the league.

Absolutely no chance we're losing this league. Last night was a freak result in the wind and rain with 2 deflections and a wonder strike.

You won't see a better strike and luckier goals.

Couldn't believe them when I saw them on TV.

I'm not even sure of the wonder strike. I thought it looked the part, but might have been mis-hit. Not sure of McGregor's reaction to the shot either. Could he not have used his feet?

Yip, correction. I've just seen it again on SSN. McGregor had no chance. Not with his feet, hands, heid - anything!

Walter will win the SPL. He is a greater manager than any of us could ever be. We are not worthy. :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise: :praise:
