Usually after the split you have to play a team away from home 3 times in the 1 season I know it would never happen but could you imagine how they would react if they got told they were to play us at ibrox again

iirc we've played Motherwell, hearts and by next wk Dundee utd all away 2 times so far this season. Therefore we 'shud' play the tims and hivs away and the aforementioned teams at home, ie 3 at home and 2 away, seems pretty simples?????

I suppose the spl will worm it the other way of course!

im pretty sure rangers and celtic are only 2 teams garaunteed to play 19 home and 19 away games so no matter who makes the top 6 we will only have 2 home games and 3 away so if the top 6 remains the same then we will have to play 1 of the other teams 3 times away

19 home and 19 away takes priority over having played each team 2 home 2 away so one of these teams will be elected for us to play 3 times away. Has happened before when we have gone to Aberdeen 3 times.

To answer the original question they never anounce the post split fixtures until after the final pre-split games. Usually because they do not know thee top 6 until that day. This year will be no different and there is the added dimension that they will want to see how many points we are ahead of the scum in order to set the final OF game where it is least likely to be a league decider.

We are certain to be playing Timmy away and Hibs away.

We are due to be playing Dundee Utd, Motherwell and either Hearts/St Johnstone all at home, but we are only entitled to 2 home games post-split as we will have played 17 of our 19 home games by the split.

So it is certain that we will be playing one of those teams away for a third time this season. If Hearts make the top 6, my money would be on a 3rd trip to Motherwell as they are the team that were not seeded to be in the top 6 this season. Although the SPL can change this rule if it works out that the other teams would then have a 20/18 home/away fixture list.

What we also dont know is the format of our 5 games. If we are a point or 2 away from the title, will the SPL do what they done to timmy in a similar position and give them all their remaining home games at the start of the split to try to ensure they get over the finishing line before the OF game?

It is worth considering that the SPL have also said in the past that they would try to avoid holiday weekends for OF games, so dont put any money on the OF game being on the 1/2 May.

At this stage, my money would be on the OF game being on the midweek fixture on 5 May, as this probably presents the least troublesome date, and is also the 2nd last game of the season so the title should be done by then (it better be!!).

I would hazard a guess at our fixtures being as follows;

April 17 Hearts (H)

April 24 Motherwell (A)

May 1 Hibs (A)

May 5 Timmy (A)

May 9 Dundee United (H)

Of course if timmy slips up at Easter Road or v Well and we can win the title at Tannadice, we may very well go to the piggery on April 24, but we need to do the business in our next 3 games first.

What makes you certain that we will go to Easter Road mate?

after all we went there 3 times last year when we all thought that we would be returning to Tynecastle

We've played hibs at home twice this yr, surely this guarantees we will play them away post split

not always last season we had played hearts twice at home and we all assumed we would be going to tynecastle but they gave us hearts at home and sent us to hibs for a third time

wouldnt be surprised if the old firm game is the final game of the season, just to make it the least exciting as possible to avoid trouble (thanks timmy)

mind the year we played them at the piggery last, they were going for 100% home record, and lovenkrands scored before most cunts were in their seats lol

finished 1-1 and we went on to beat them 3-2 at hampden the next week

and so the reign of eck started
