Politics should never, ever come into it.

Here's to the Rangers Football Club!

I agree and if those nationalist and socialist fuckers would just shut up we could keep politics out of it

My Rangers heritage is a grandfather from Cork in the Oirish republic who came here ashamed of his homeland and their support of National Socialism..He was a Rangers fan to begin with and had his family here during the war including my late Dad and the family were all Bears.

My Mums side were my English Granny who was a Bear and Scottish grandfather who was a Ta1g hating Bear.

That's my heritage...

A British Bear with an ashamed Irishman in there too.

Rangers has been a unionist club for many, many years. The Union Flag, the loving cup, GSTQ, the Chairman and manager joining the Save the Union campaign, the fans, the flags, the songs etc etc.

Some have different views, which is OK and it doesn't stop them being fans, but it doesn't take away from what our club is.

Hello everyone!

I am from Serbia and have not the opportunity to watch Rangers at Ibrox, but I watch every game. I will never admit to anyone that love Rangers more than I. I have almost 24 years and 24 years teach the people in Serbia who is the greatest team in the world. Im wider love for Rangers although I think you have to be blue were born. Last time I watched Rangers live against the red star in Belgrade. I was among thousands of their fans, but I could not hide the joy when I saw Barry Feguson on warming. Next to the Rangers I am a big fan of Partizan Belgrade, and we hate red star so much,it's hard to imagine. I will never forget how the Rangers fans sang "Partizan,Partizan" in the Belgrade. It is so angered red star fans. Also, some my friends talking about when they were at Ibrox (when Partizan played against Rangers in the UEFA Cup)met a lot of good people, and Rangers fans with them singing in pubs, even anti-catholic songs LOL (the owner warned them, but without success, you know how Serbs hate catholics). There are many interesting things but I will not use this forum to telling my stories. Just want to say that I am not British and I do not have the opportunity to watch Rangers at Ibrox, does not mean that I do not feel great love and passion for the club. One more thing, maybe SPL league is not strong, but I prefer to watch the match, for example,Motherwell Harts rather than Barcelona-Real. Scottish football is at least kept the spirit of a good old football. All the best!!!

Interesting stuff.

I was at the RSB - Rangers game, the atmosphere was awesome.

And the women in Belgrade, just stunning.

I've answered this sort of poll before, as Yanks we have a different point of view regarding ulterior aspects of being a Rangers supporter.

We don't care about your religion. We don't care about your politics. We don't care about Nationalist or Unionist. By all accounts there is very little else we care about other than what happens inside Ibrox or an away pitch. All that is secondary, if not tertiary, to the fact we support a football team in a country that our relatives (presumably) came from and supported til the day they died.

We do not, at all, pretend to think we know better than you in-Scotland supporters. You live with the defining lines of religion and politics in Scotland everyday. We do not. So at no point in my years on this board have I ever said you are wrong because of what you think, or how you think. You live there, I don't. It affects you, not me. So, I don't begrudge people who take a hard stand on religion or politics because I don't have their level of involvement.

What I would begrudge is anyone telling me I'm less of a Rangers supporter because I do not engage in anti-catholic rhetoric or Scottish nationalism (*edit - or any other political ideal*). As presumptuous as it would be to think I know better than you do, not having lived there or grown up with it, it is equally as presumptuous for anyone else to say the opposite.

So, as the question is currently asked I have to say No. And if that makes me less of a Rangers supporter to anyone else, well you are due your own opinion. And you can take that opinion and shove it up your own ass.

Til I Die, bitches.

As my poll answer states , Im proud to be a British Rangers man.

But the question of the thread is bizarre - how can you have varying degrees of Rangers heritage? Does it depend on where you were born? Or how many people in your family were Bears before you (which I think counts for FA by the way)

I think you're on the dangerous , slippery slope to saying that 'this Rangers fan is better than that Rangers fan' when you ask how much 'Rangers heritage' they have.

I will be honest - the question itself makes me a little angry.

The guy can't even spell heritage mate, don't get angry, just laugh at him. Why bother voting?

Know what you're saying mate , I voted as I feel the poll options are fair enough - the title of the thread though was suggestive of something completely different and that was what I took issue with.

I'm the first Rangers supporter in my family on both sides and certainly don't feel any less of a Bear for it.
