TheMoonlighter 499
Further to the research into our Founders and the various locations that were threw up around Glasgow we decided set up the Founders Trail. We've operated a few of these trips and they've been very successful. We decided to expand again by including a Tour of Ibrox Stadium at the end of the Trail and got into discussions with the Club. They're delighted to be involved. The day starts at 12pm where the Open-Top bus leaves the John Greig statue, we return to Ibrox at 3pm for the Stadium Tour, the day is complete just after 4pm.If you'd like more details or would like to book a seat drop me an email at the address listed on the Advertisement. TheMoonlighter 499
This is Peter McNeil's Grand-Daughter unveiling the plaque at Fleshers Haugh where the Trail also visits. The Founders Committee had lengthy negotiations with GCC about marking the spot where our Club was formed and played their first ever match. The Plaque was paid for by supporters donations. The Club sent along representatives to the the unveiling. To have the Grand-Daughter of our Founder Peter McNeil present was incredible. TheMoonlighter 499
Any further forward as to discovering any descendants of William McBeath? That'd be a nice end to a sad tale. The on-going research is throwing up new links every week. Some dead-ends some very frutiful. The results will be published through time, the days of people keeping this kind of stuff under a bed in a box are surely coming to an end.
