Defensively he is pretty good, but his lack of pace has always been a problem.He's also got good leadership qualities. On a free, pretty good signing, if he does sign for them. The deal is believed to be close to completion and could see Slovakian international Weiss agree a season-long loan.Contact has already been made with City over a move for Craig Bellamy and discussions regarding his Slovakian team-mate are also understood to be ongoing. Weiss had a spell on loan at Bolton Wanderers in the second half of last season.Though the midfielder has only made one first team appearance at City, Weiss has a burgeoning reputation. Capped 13 times for his country, Weiss played three games for Slovakia at the World Cup, including a man of the match performance against New Zealand.Those appearances sparked interest from a number of clubs in Europe, with Manchester City’s large squad making it likely that the player would be available on loan.
