Scott-RFC 308
Marca reports hes signed for 8m euroCracking defender, better than Alex and Terry imo, although its quite a lot for a 32 year old
ScottBF2 3,540
Good move. Wasn't settled at Chelsea, loved working with Mourinho. Just get the feeling that 8m Euro's is a tad cheap for him. About £7m?
Scott-RFC 308
Depends how many years he has left in him at the top level, if he plays to Weirs age its a bargain!

Papa Sasac 164
Surprised by this to be honest. Always liked him. Albiol, Carvalho, Pepe, Garay to choose from now.
Goianegra 4,710
Quite shocking, absolute bargain. Knew Jose would have something prepared.

Jimbo. 952
Confirmed.A Chelsea statement read: "Chelsea Football Club can confirm it has agreed terms with Real Madrid for the transfer of Ricardo Carvalho."The transfer is subject to a medical and the player agreeing personal terms."Chelsea would like to thank Riccy for his six years of service, and we wish him well in his future career."Carvalho joins up with former boss Mourinho, with whom he worked so successfully at both Porto and Chelsea. The centre-back heads to the Spanish capital - reportedly for a fee of around 8million euros (£6.6million) - on the back of a hugely impressive World Cup showing in which Portugal conceded just one goal.A Madrid statement read: "Real Madrid CF and FC Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ricardo Carvalho."The player will be linked to Real Madrid CF the next two seasons."My link
BlueSuedeSambas 57,138
8 million euros for Carvalho is a steal. He was one of the best centre backs at the world cup and is still one of the best in the world.
Amac9 2,060
He is a proper defender.Him and Pepe at the back for Madrid hopefully.
bluenose_72 198
Just the kind of defender Madrid need IMO.Mourinho will be the man to get their defence sorted. Shame he isn't getting Maicon though.

Shame he isn't getting Maicon though.Don't really need him though, do they?Ramos - Carvalho - Pepe - Left BackNo idea who their main LB is, but thats a quality defence, almost as good as Rangers'! Amac9 2,060
Real need a left back.Amen brother.Marcelo is rank rotten!
ScottBF2 3,540
They've got Drenthe and Marcelo though. Decent players, both of them.
BlueSuedeSambas 57,138
They've got Drenthe and Marcelo though. Decent players, both of them.I think both of them are better in midfield and even then, I'm not sure if they are good enough to be starting for Real Madrid.I wouldn't rule out a Real bid for Gael Clichy. Stu1993 101
I Also think they need a left back, For me Marcelo is far better further forward. Better not try and steal Wylde from us
Orangeclement 619
What about a bid for Coentrao?Rumour has it that Chelsea will sign him and then sell Cole to R.Madrid as Mourinho loves wee cashley
sdunsmb 43
I think both of them are better in midfield and even then, I'm not sure if they are good enough to be starting for Real Madrid.I wouldn't rule out a Real bid for Gael Clichy.I'd happily see him out the door if I was Wenger, Gibbs is almost as good as him now and will grow to be a better player.Clichy - decent player, amazing engine on hm but not great defensively. Cole and Evra are the best LB's around IMO, but I doubt Real would have a chance of getting either, even though they've been linked with Cole.
