H72 265
Was watching The Premiership Years the other night whilst staying at my mates and we were talking about all the old players who we loved watching when we were younger, and players we love watching now.So the questions are :1. What player(s) of the Premiership, of the past, did you love watching when you were younger, and what impact did he have on you, football-wise?2. What player(s) of the Premiership, of present, do you love watching and why?For me, I've loved watching Thierry Henry play ever since I was young. He played in an Arsenal team of Bergkamp, Wiltord, Vieira, Lauren, Parlour, Pires, Ljungberg, Edu, Keown, Reyes! The list goes on and on. Those players were the reason I started "supporting" Arsenal as a child, but Thierry Henry was the leader of them all. To this day, I love watching him play. He is brilliance. The players I love watching of present have to be Scott Parker, Mikel Arteta and Wayne Rooney. All hard workers and fantastic players....you? TravelingWilBEARy 4,319
Past - Cantona - Although I hated Man Utd I loved watching him and the way he carried himelf. Chest puffed out, collar turned up he walked about like he owned the fuckin place. Now - Drogba - On his day only the best striker in the World - virtually unplayableOutside of the Premiership though my hero is Roberto Baggio - a footballing artist. Papa Sasac 164
Past- I would say Henry as well. His casualness in games and the way he made things looks so easy were great to watch growing up.Present- Luka Modric. Fantastic player, the one who makes Spurs tick. Cappa 24
Paul Scholes is my answer for both. Best midfielder the premiership has ever seen by an absolute distance. The class of the man off the field is fantastic too. "Train in the morning, pick up the kids from school, play with them, have tea, get them to bed and then watch a bit of TV." His opinion of an ideal day.
