Ozblue 4,332
He certainly put a lot of effort into his game and I was a bit disappointed he didn't get a goal for his efforts.A lot of people rip the pish out of the big fella but he's obviously Walter's choice for a left sided man at the moment. BeautifulSeas 10
Agreed. I was surprised he didn't pick up MOTM actually.

simon 1,775
A really encouraging display from him. Excellent to see him get off to a flier, it would have been great to see him get a goal but it wasn't to be. Maybe needs to work a little bit on his finishing but overall he was really good. For me, it was between Naismith and Lafferty for MOTM.
Smile 26,625
Even in the last few minutes he was still running hard and winning tackles, looks yards fitter than most of the players on the park bar Naismith who also did well.

Infact he is rank fukin rotten so take yer blinkers off, 1 game wont make this guy a player.Hes been playing well all pre season, today he stepped it up a step even more and he deserved MOTM. IIRC He plucked two great balls out the air, controlled it on the chest and brought it down, im sure he done it ni the box too. He was very direct, give us alot of width and ran at defenders which some players have a fear off. Also not scared to fling it in with his left foot which is great. mark_ni 12
Infact he is rank fukin rotten so take yer blinkers off,i think its about time people started supporting their own players a bit more. The abuse lafferty gets is way over the top. Some of it may be deserved but some definetly isnt. There are players who play far worse than him in games and its ignored while he gets all the abuse. Yes he hasnt justified his transfer fee but neither have people like stevie naismith but strangely he doesnt get half the abuse and he was a worse scoring record than lafferty and he hasnt scored a title winning goal either. Some supporters are just always going to criticise lafferty. I dont think it matters if he scores 30 goals this season, the title winning goal, scores against celtic a couple of times etc etc, some supporters are just never going to accept him. He had a good finish to last season and he had an excellent game yesterday, probably put more effort in than anyone else chasing back etc.

mrmytto 220
Most of the criticism the guy gets is completely unjustified, as fans, when a player or players confidence is low and they are not performing, we should get behind them, give them their confidence back, let the support carry them, instead of bringing them down even lower.
