sara_quinn_armitt_5_310x230.jpgAfter a first-half that had little to write about, Rangers Under 17′s second half performance secured a comfortable win over Hamilton Accies at Murray Park tonight. With Blair Currie out with a broken leg it was a trialist between the sticks for Rangers, and he was joined by another three trialists in tonight’s squad.

It was Accies that took the lead with the first real chance of the game in nine minutes, a superb crossfield pass saw their wide right midfield player go past Robbie McIntyre to beat the trialist keeper from a narrow angle. Rangers were to suffer a further blow three minutes later, when Sam McMahon fell heavily while challenging for a cross inside the box and had to leave the field with what appeared to be a shoulder injury.
