simplythebest 11,437
Yet again Arsenal have started dropping stupid points after looking promising for a title challenge. With Chelsea losing today a home game against West Brom was the ideal chance to cut the gap. Been the same thing with them so many seasons in a row now. Millsyrfc1 13
Love arsenal but how arsene wenger didn't make it his top priority to find even a half decent goalie is beyond me. for him too keep almunia in the team is shocking !
keithgersbear 3,225
Almunia is like a dagger to the heart of his team mates, at 1 nil down, it was easy to turn it around. I hate him.

papaguy51 912
Wenger did shake Di Matteo's hand mate. However, I agree with the rest of the thread. Arsenal just don't have it. Still, perhaps they'll win the 'Good Profit' trophy

keithgersbear 3,225
Almunia should still save that, regardless. I would expect anyone on here to save that shot.

Prick of a man at times Wenger, a real prickEDIT : Seen that he did shake Robertos hand, still tho. PRICK OF A MAN!
Bear 25
Every good team has a great goal keeper.IMO Woods, Goram Klose were the reason we actually got 9 in a row. If we had crap keepers we would never have got that run. Even when those keepers were out injured we always seemed to find brilliant short term replacements. simplythebest 11,437
Schwarzer put in a game saving display for Fulham today as well!
papaguy51 912
Schwarzer put in a game saving display for Fulham today as well! They can afford a better and younger goalie than Schwarzer though. The fact that Arsene Wenger still thinks that Fabianski (who is 25 now) can STILL be the best goalie in the world speaks volumes to me. But I agree about other goalkeepers, no idea why he didn't seem to try going after anyone else when it became clear Mark Hughes wasn't budging. Clemdog 39,388
I hope Wenger's stubborness doesn't ruin his time at Arsenal. If this continue's until he leaves then he'll be remembered for all the wrong reasons. However it is still early in the season, but the goalkeeper situation is appalling.
