I feel a bit for the lad and hope he doesn't get too disheartened.. That is all.
simplythebest 11,437
I don't think he's even looked that bad as far as tracking back is concerned, so i don't see why him being such an attacking player should be worry. I'd have had him in instead of Broadfoot and put Whittaker to right back.

WilliamFyfe 1,438
I thought it was going to be 442 tonight with him on the wing, with this 541 he should be brought on second half 70mins at least.
simplythebest 11,437
True. Although i'd like to think we could have got another goal at some point anyway, a few other good chances were missed to make it less nervy!
1st_Jan_1994 4,868
That's what I was saying to my mates tonight. The boy came here to play in big games and he's not had a sniff, yet.I totally agree with the topic header that Walter got it right, but the way I see it, play our cards right with the boy and he MAY be tempted to stay another season. It would be good to see him play in these games, but Walter obviously has a gameplan. TravelingWilBEARy 4,319
Did anyone really expect Weiss to play at any stage tonight? I mean.....seriously!?

mmrfc1873 48
I am disappointed we haven't seen him in the cl yet tbh, but I'm confident we'll see him eventually.
FlippinEck 3,514
I actually did mate. Being honest.Same, i didnt expect 5 at the back today either, it was a little overkill but it worked
Clemdog 39,388
Did anyone really expect Weiss to play at any stage tonight? I mean.....seriously!?I honestly didn't know what to expect, the score, our line-up, how Bursaspor would play etc.I just didn't know enough about them, but new that they were good enough to beat the Fenerbahce's and Besiktas's. I hope the boy get's a look in for a Champions League game.I think we have a good chance of winning in Turkey aswell.
simplythebest 11,437
If Weiss had come on we'd almost certainly have gotten forward in a second half period where Bursaspor with fresh blood on had us on the rack, we struggled to retain any sort of possesion for ages. I'm well aware what the final result was but i was shouting for a change for an awful lot of the second half, so it would be hypocritical for me to not be standing by those views just because we held on. Ted E Bayer 432
If there was any CL league game he was going to play in, even as a sub it was tonight. A little surprised and disappointed for the boy.
garycassidy1802 37
I thought he'd have started and tbh I thought we should have took Whittaker off and got Weiss on early 2nd half, Whittaker was a bit disappointing, but nice pass for the goal
AGM_72 3,307
I'm going to hold onto some hope we see him, but if we keep doing what we're doing and qualify for the last 16 and he doesn't get a sniff then quite frankly I won't give a fuck. Aslong as we make it to the last 16.
RobertN 382
end of the day we got the result we saw what happened with rothen guarenteed a game in europe last year think vlad was plan b if they scored first maybe still two hard home games to come he may be called on yet
Andy 69
If Walter wont play him against Bursa at Ibrox, then sorry to say he wont be featuring at all in UCL
Ted E Bayer 432
Selfishly I'm no giving a fuck as long as we keep getting results. I wouldn't however like to think it would affect his choice in another year or a permanent deal.... If he gets those options..
wearethemighty 186
I hoped he was going to come at some point tonight, but fair do's to Walter he has a game plan and it's done us alright tonight.Don't expect to see him feature in either games against Valencia, in Turkey or against Man U at Ibrox! But after tonights formation, I don't think anyone can second guess Walter Smith!
DivDee 49
I really want to see him get a game. He's shown enough to warrant a place and really hope he gets his wish.
garycassidy1802 37
I think he'll come on if we go down to Valencia, but that puts a shiteload of pressure on the wee man.Probably gonna be 541 every game unless we pick up injuries or suspensions
Jamie1807 146
I think we will see him this season in the CLHe'll be the one to send in the corner when Davie Weir heads the winning goal in the final
