30 years may have passed since he last played for the club, he will never be forgotten by the fans who herladed him throughout his Rangers career. Parlane, who has recently been added to the Hall of Fame, is set to enjoy a fitting tribute dinner to celebrate his Rangers career on Friday 1st October at Glasgow’s Thistle Hotel.

Official Rangers Club Historian, David Mason, commented: “I was one of these fans who celebrated Derek’s goals through a fantastic spell in the 70’s. With two trebles, the era is often overlooked in the light of more recent successes, but it was a historic spell.
