pcbear 10,913
At the time when we were offered him, 6 weeks ago, one of the "experts" aye right said it was sad that a team such as Rangers could not afford his £50,000 a week wages, at the time i thought to myself, good on you Rangers not sad at all, we have been fleeced many times over by so called stars giving it 50% at Rangers for their last big pay day, at last common sense wins, see what we eventually got, Jelavic twice the player for a third of the dough. What reminded me of this was a snippet in the paper this morning quoting Tony Pullis the Stoke manager lamenting his fitness and inability to last 90 minutes. These alledged experts sit on that sofa spouting shite more often than not, with not a clue about how Rangers are operating as a unit. BlueSuedeSambas 52,642
exactly why does Gudjohnson need £50,000 a week at this stage of his career anyway?Over the past decade he has played for Chelsea, Barcalona & Monaco, surely he will have made enough money to set himself up for life?Surely at this stage of his career a last opportunity to play at the top table of European football, while potentially earning a league winners medal in a fourth country should be enough motivation to allow him to pick us over a few more noughts in his bank balance.Anyway, I don't see why I'm even posting in this thread. Eidur was one of my favourite players, but he's so far past his best now it's not even funny.Dodged a bullet IMO.
SirWalterSmithLegend 206
Class act but wouldnt pay him 50k a week to play in Scotland, we dont need to pay anyone over 30k a week to win titles in this league. Were doing things the right way, and we will be better or it.
