Jela back to Croatia for surgery

jela_ger.jpgIt was confirmed today by Rangers that summer star signing Nikicia Jelavic will miss be missing for a considerable period of time after it was confirmed that Ian Black had injured his ankle ligaments. The Croatian hitman is to return to his homeland to undergo surgery and it is as yet unknown how long he will be out for, with speculation that it could be anything between 2-3 months.

A club statement released yesterday confirmed, "Following a tackle in Saturday's game against Hearts at Tynecastle, Nikica Jelavic suffered ankle ligament damage that requires surgery. The striker will now miss a number of matches for the Club"

Elsewhere, Kirk Broadfoot has confirmed today that he is to be out of action for two weeks and will definitely miss Scotland's crucial qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Spain with a foot problem. The defender sustained the injury two weeks ago against Hamilton and has been told that he needs time to regain full fitness,
