Robert Pires, suggestion.

Says he's been released from Villareal and is training with Arsenal and want's a British club.

The French expert talking that knows him well says he's more interested in a decent club and an interesting challange rather than money, however, if it wasn't an interesting proposal he would require more money to persuade him to go.

It's strange that when his age was mentioned, the French expert, his mate mentioned the great job David Weir is doing with Rangers aged 40. Read into that what you will. Maybe an innocent remark.

Thoughts? yes? no? too expensive?

Wouldnt be too expensive seen an interview in a magazine not long ago and he said he wants to play as hes made his ££££££££££££ so fuck knows.

Id take him, but French players have a poor record here

No harm on a pay per play or a contract until the end of the season as we need squad numbers.Dont know if he would accept though but at 35 he is not exactly in a position to be choosy. As for a challenge well.Has he got any Scottish medals and it doesnt come bigger than CL.

I don't actually think wages would be an issue for him in this instance, as for an interesting challenge what could be more interesting than playing in a league you've never played in before?

I'm not too sure about his age now, and I was going to say for an attacking midfielder age might be an issue, but hell, Giggs is still going and I wouldn't say no to him playing for us!

He would only be legible for the CL when we qualify from the group stages. :pipe:

Not sure how fit he is. He's not kicked a ball since the 2-0 win over Valencia back at the start of May.

Why can't he play in the CL for Rangers, for example, if he's not played since May?

Is it to do with a registered squad rather than cup tied?

Not registered for the group stages.

Wenger is quoted on SSN as being "very impressed" with his levels of fitness.

Speaking to Le Parisien, Wenger believed the Gunners legend - who racked up 189 appearances and two Premier League titles in a six-year spell before he headed to Spain in 2006 - could still do a job in the French top flight.

He said: "He is sparkling.

"He’s happy on the ball and physically he is fine. He can be of service in Ligue 1."

Probably the best move for him - Ligue 1!
