Android Market apps

I've recently bought a lG Optimus and a 4GB memory card for it.

I got quite accustomed to downoading from the android app market but now the phones storage is at full capacity.

Does anyone know how to transfer the applications to the SD micro memory stick?

If you are on froyo (2.2) then there is a app called sd move and this will alllow you to move apps onto the sd card.

Dont think iv got froyo at all, never heard of it. Haw would I be able to get it.

Try and update the software on your phone or check to see if your are alreay on version 2.2.

Different phones have slightly different android practices.

Best bet is to go to androidforums.com and look for the part of the forum for your phone.

Go to Settings - Applications - Manage Applications. Click on a app and there will be an option for 'Move to SD card'. But you need android 2.2.

To check, go to Settings - About Phone - Software Information. If you aren't on 2.2 backspace and run System Software Updates.

Best to root your phone to be honest if you can! The Apps 2 SD is shite considering most app developers don't implement it into the apps.

With a rooted phone you can get A2SD+ which lets you put every app on the SD. Also with a rooted phone you can just download all the paid apps and games for nothing off the internet

Aw can you? Had a desire for months and never knew that as I rooted it the first day I got it! Even if it means rooting it for the A2SD+(or whatever it's called) as I have it rooted on froyo but not got it and I hardly have any apps and the phones already saying there is low space! Need to get around to doing it but I can't be arsed!

A2SD+ is a big thing for rooting. Im getting sick of my phone saying it doesn't have enough space.
