Domestic abuse catharsis

peigi_3.jpgI think I am getting more cynical with age. I must be.

The Herald and The Evening Times on Monday led with stories about Strathclyde Police's 'crackdown on domestic abuse', particularly at hotspot times like before big football matches and at Christmas.

Both articles read almost exactly the same; perhaps are both taken directly from a press release or an individual interview and written by the same journalist, Brian Donnelly; 'churnalism' is certainly at play anyway.

The article(s) are fairly standard and to be honest, for what it's worth, in my opinion the policing strategy is fairly obvious.

Or maybe it is meaning that as all Tims done their dough in big time in the first game at OT, with plenty of dosh on 3-0, 4-0 Man U -1, -2 goals etc, that the warning is to them that if they do all their dough again and The Rangers get another result, dont go taking it out on the missus again Declan.

The Herald and Evening times are "sister" papers. Hence the same article. Much like the Sun and News of the world.
