pcbear 10,913
Fergie says he has been carrying an injury, Rooney says he has not, beginning of the end? theres only going to be one winner in that scenario if it escalates, remember Roberts and Souness. Big Laff's Dodgy Barnett 20
think you might be reading a bit too much into that mate, although with all the scandal in Rooneys life just now, you could be right

Grandfather_Huck 5
Won't happen as there's no one they could possibly sign who is better than an on form Rooney. The only better options (Ronaldo, Messi, Villa, Drogba, Torres) would never be allowed to join Man Utd by their clubs
Chef 436
fergie says he got a gammy ankle which we all knew he had some trouble, rooney says he has been training for weeks and is fit, news think there is a rift or summit, but you can be fit while carrying an injury, mountain - mole hill
Grandfather_Huck 5
Press going into overdrive with the Beckham comparisons. They forget that Beckham was 2nd choice to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the right wing for the last 2 months of his Man Utd career and he was about to be replaced anyway by a young Cristiano Ronaldo

mmrfc1873 48
All thist talk will die down when he returns to form.Exactly, people are acting as if a top player has never had a bad run of form before.
pcbear 10,913
Exactly, people are acting as if a top player has never had a bad run of form before. He looks totally woeful at the minute and ever since the back end of last season world cup included, an on form Rooney is a huge plus to any team, he has been a passenger for the last 6 months and maybe the forseeable, if he was sparkling in training he would be in the side, simple imo. Jimbo. 952
It's an odd one. Surely even if Sir Alex was mistaken, you'd be a bit more discreet to the press. Rather than 'there's been nothing wrong with my ankle all season' and making him look like a fool.He does have previous right enough. He was very disrespectful to Moyes when he was working his ticket at Everton.
Henders82 508
Well I for one hope his poor form continues, at least until the 25th November!!
simplythebest 11,437
There's the contract issue and Fergie won't be happy that Rooney's got himself into the front pages, especially right off the back of him having a very good season.
Ferdasyn 431
I believe Sir Alex was telling the press about this'injury' to get them off his back.Rooney was just too stupid to realize this.
Cappa 24
There's no way Rooney will ever go to Real Madrid. There's a better chance that Ronaldo will return to Old Trafford, which I think could happen eventually. Would be hilarious to hear him speak Spanish mind you.
