nvager 498
Do we lack bite in midfield? Does the present group have what it takes despite some recent great results? Hard to tell for now.
Papa Sasac 164
I would say yes, and we miss Kevin Thomson for this. He would get stuck in and made it his goal to try and win the ball back, but he also had the ability to pick a player out. Think that's why a lot of people on here, including myself, would like to see Morgaro Gomis sign for us.
Goianegra 4,680
Think Hutton could develop into that "bite."

G.E.C. 18,718
Bite? These nashers should do the trick!Seriously I think McCulloch is the heart of our midfield.
H72 265
From what I've seen, with time, Hutton could be the answer.
Bonkgers 3
Not sure about bite but it lacks someone who can put his foot on the ball and dictate the game.
stuartm 7
Today was the first time I had seen Kyle Hutton in the flesh. The boy is huge! He is broader than Bougherra but still appears fast on his feet. Definitely one with a bright future if given a proper chance.
Harry Callahan 9
Bite? These nashers should do the trick!Seriously I think McCulloch is the heart of our midfield.Edu is a fantastic player, he just needs to start turning up from the first whistle, he takes far too long to get going in a game. WilliamFyfe 1,438
Davis/Edu seem flat the now, we need big Lee back!
Ozblue 4,331
I totally agree that none of our current midfield have "Bite" (except when McCulloch plays) but we do have players with bite behind them. What we had today is a midfield of four who worked hard and were quick getting from defence to attack,so we can't have it both ways with the squad we have got unless we sign another player like Albertz or a McCall who fits that bill.Kyle Hutton looks a prospect though,so he may be one for the near future to give us both the "Bite" and the mobility. Ozblue 4,331
Confused! What are the similarities with Albertz & McCall?Mainly Harry, that when you got tackled by the Hammer or McCall, you sure as hell knew about it in a big way, more so than say Stevie Davis,Naismith or Edu...plus they knew how to attack also. adam2102 577
i think next weekend will tell us if we have the bite or not. if you dont have the bite in an old firm game then you never will
ForeverBlue_Since91 2,895
Yes davis gets pushed of the ball to easy, and edu is too slow on the ball. thats why you need McCulloch in there.
Harry Callahan 9
Mainly Harry, that when you got tackled by the Hammer or McCall, you sure as hell knew about it in a big way, more so than say Stevie Davis,Naismith or Edu...plus they knew how to attack also.Oz, Albertz and tackling are not normally mentioned in the same sentence.I think your memory is playing tricks on you. I don't think so. I've seen big Albertz put in a few ball busters in my time. I said he hit them hard...I didn't say he did it often

pcbear 10,913
Who tackled Lambert at Ibrox and burst his mouth? thinking hard here, was that Albertz?
Clemdog 39,389
Edu doesn't put a foot in. He may close a man down, and throw a leg out the way the ball is heading. But he doesn't put a tackle in 9 times out of 10.It's just the way he learnt how to play football.
