Dwight Yorke and Graeme Souness

They were both guests on sky's coverage of the Man United game tonight.

Read Yorke's book a whille back and he's far from Souness's biggest fan after his time a Blackburn.

And the feeling is mutal. Yorke says Souness once injured him in a coaching staff v players training game.

Was watching it before and after the game and there were plenty of sly digs flying around between the two, With Keys shit stirring at every chance.

Felt sorry for poor Eidur Gudjohnsen stuck in the middle

I noticed that before our game.

Was listening to them talking about Rooney, and Souness was going on about how he thought Rooney was making out that the players currently at United weren't good enough, then Yorke jump on him saying that he totally disagreed with him, asking Souness why he was always trying to imply Rooney didn't think the players were good enough.

what sky digs were being made ?

Souness kept going on and on about the fact that SAF only keep's players once they get past 30 odd if they are serious pro's and look after themselves, e.g G Neville, Giggs, Scholes and the ones who party to much a out the door. The one who springs to mind there is Yorke.

Then he asked him does he regret not looking after himself better. But Yorke did'nt really give a fuck

That fucking arsehole Yorke also reffered to our players as mediocre

Like he would know? He's probably watched us play once against Manchester United

What was Souness like when he said that? Hopefully having to be held back

He said great players would have punished Valencia but mediocre ones would only score 1 or something along those lines.

Souness never said anything but the studio remained silent as he spouted his pish

How much goals did Manchester United score against them?

Yorke nutmegged Souness during a 5 a side match and Souness responded by scithing him down in a Roy Keane-esque fashion. Pretty immature from a man aged around 50 at the time.

Roy Keane done Souness-esque challenges.

Souness :praise:

Incorrect.

Pretty awesome for a man aged fifty at the time.

He should have taken him down, even if he didn't nutmeg him.

He said the difference between quality players and mediocre players is that when quality players get the type of chances we got they put them away whilst mediocre players will score the odd chance and miss the others, he wasn't wrong.

Thats right all mediocre teams remain unbeaten in the UCL and the only goal they concede is one that they score themselfs.

The chances we missed can be missed by anyone.

You're right, the chanced we missed could have been missed by anyone but I'd expect quality players to put atleast 2 of those chances away, that's what Dwight was getting at and I fully agree.
