It is just me, or does anyone think the boy had a fantastic second half last night?

He was as nervous as I'd ever seen anyone in the first half an hour or so. I actually felt terrible for the lad, but in the second half he grew in confidence and put in a fantastic shift.

Hats off to the lad.

I thought that he was fantastic, especially as it was his first time playing at such a level, and we really threw him into the deep end.

I think that his performance last night alone probably merits him a position on Sunday, well, I hope anyway. :)

Walter was smart as well though. having Boogie out there too to support him. And letting him know approx 24 hours before the match that he'd probably start. Gave him time to get his head right.

Looked composed in the second half. Excellent. As was posted on here last night, he's probably improved a great deal since he's been with us. Only thing I knew about him before was his pace.

Foster also tucked in a lot whenever Bougherra went on a mazy up the park. Another advantage of this system

This will have given the lad a huge boost. If he can do it on a stage like that then there’s no reason why he can’t do it week in week out.

It was great to see

After such a horrendous debut, I was very dubious of him starting last night.

He proved me so wrong with a terrific performance in the second half in defence and attack. Don't forget that after THAT miss, he was the one at the other end who put in the final block with their last attack.

The other interesting thing that was on the radio last night is that we have been persuing him for quite a while and it wasn't just a last minute stop gap option to off load Velicka.

He did have a very good second half, cutting inside his runs were reminiscent of Hutton. But I won't get ahead of myself, too many were quick to judge him before he came and then after Hamilton but the boy was nervy as fuck.

Without a doubt the cover he had behind him helped and took alot of pressure of him, as did Naismith infront of him who will run about like a headless chicken.

I love his pace though, and well done to the boy for last night.

Agreed John, and to be fair to him the whole team had a shaky first 15mins tbh. I thought he was excellent (tu)
