Big Laff's Dodgy Barnett 20
no chance Mcinnes would leave a Managers job to become a no2IMO I'd rather have Mcinnes the manager here rather than Coisty.
Pete_Rangers 9
no way wee durannty is being primed for number 2, mcinnes wouldnt go back to being a number 2Why would he not?A team he supported as a young boy.No brainer IMO.
Pete_Rangers 9
IMO I'd rather have Mcinnes the manager here rather than Coisty. The two of them would make a dream team IMHO.
stuart54 218
Kenny McDowall deserves a shot as No2 - He's earned it!

Imodium 408
Derek Mciness will end up down south eventually. If Ally wasn't primed for the job already I think Del would have been in for a shout
Stu1993 101
So because Smith leaves, McDowall should fuck off ? Bollocks. As for McCinnes getting the job before McCoist im baffled. If Walter thinks his judgement of Ally being ready is right, then i trust Walter, he wouldnt leave the club in the wrong hands.
MasterD 7,414
Noway McInnes would come to be number 2 when he is doing a good job as a manager

mmrfc1873 48
Why would he not?A team he supported as a young boy.No brainer IMO.It would be daft to leave a managers job to become an assistant just because you supported that team, I doubt McInness would even want to do that. Pete_Rangers 9
If you were good at your job - you'd want promoted, wouldnt you? Well, I imagine, so does Kenny. This is not a normal job...this is the Rangers job were talking about
Stu1993 101
Who said that?/Someone said they would rather have him than McCoist next year, and im sure some would agree with that post. But i honestly cant wait to see ally take full control of the club. I Think too many people still see him as a joker, and think he wouldnt take this job serious. Stu1993 101
This is not a normal job...this is the Rangers job were talking aboutNo, being a second assistant and then taking a step up to the 1st assistant coach is the right thing for kenny IMO. Why shouldnt he be able to move up to that position if hes doing a great job just now ?

And, its not 'promoting within' that make people want to leave to further their career.Sorry, but I think Kenny McDowall would be a fantastic Assistant Manager - but thats only my view. Stu1993 101
I'm with you mate, but i would rather have coisty and mcinnes at the helm after watty is away i would rather have Jose and Carlo, but we dont all get our own way. since Kenny joined the ranks with Smith & Ally, all three of them have guided us to an european final, to 6 trophies in 3 full seasons, and in a great position this year to lead us to more. Kenny was there threw it all, and if he hasnt gained enough knowledge to take the step up from 2nd assistant to 1st after all that, i dont know what hes been doing.
