Webster is out - again!! - Jelavic is out for a while and Beatie, who knows.

However it is not the first time we have signed players and during there time with us they have played little due to injuries.

There was a while in the past where it seemed if we signed a foorward with potential they played one or to games and then got long term injuries, Amato ? Negri (after a great start) etc. etc.

Prodan was the ultimate one. Amoruso when he arrived as well and Kuznetsov, Seb Rosenthal.

Thanks - those were the ones I had in my head - but it aint working that well this am - to much of the dark stuff, red stuff and then the gold stuff last night.

Also :(

We've had more than a fair few. There was a patch when serious knee injuries were almost expected within the camp!

Yep - there was a time we used to laugh that they tripped over the long grass at ibrox as there were so many - and as you said knees in particular.

I know theres not a lot of sympathy for webster but I dont believe its deliberate nor thats he is 'at it' - I just think he is injury prone and unlucky BUT he was always like that and should probably not have got a 3 year deal - or his deal should have had a play / not play element to it.

I don't think Andy is actually 'at it', but you can pick up injuries as a result of not being in the right frame of mind in my opinion.

Perhaps not being fully committed in training or simply just expecting yourself to get injured. Both of these things are mental and both can cause regular niggly injuries I think.

Aye, I agree. Its also a tough one - we have had players who have played though injuries to their detriment but in websters case, with all those injuries it probably does play on his mind that he wants to be 100% to avoid yet another big injury, but almost a self fulfilling prophacy in that it takes games to get fit enough to avoid getting injuries and if you avoid games you get more injuries, Anyway I hope it all gets better soon - I think he is a decent player when fit and would rather have him fit and in contention.

You'll do well in the 'paranoia loyal' on here :sherlock:

Paranoia ? obviously maths isn't one of your strong points, 2 starts for us in 3 and a half seasons, 31 starts for Dundee Unt. last season, you must be one of lifes easily led, the guy is a fekkin charlatan, I would have said a disgrace to the jersey, but he doesn't wear it often enough. :pipe:

After his season with Dundee United where he managed around 30 odd games for them and was their POTY, you just knew this going to happen. I don't think he's at it just our luck and highlighted more because of our small squad size.

Weve probably wasted at least 50-75 million pounds in the last 15 years on injured players and their wages, for them to be injured and hardly kick a ball, almost contribute nothing. The list is so long and so expensive. Its a miracle big Hartson failed his medical, probably the fittest of them all!
