Sunderland vs Newcastle.

Recommended Posts

As it stands I think there's a squad of us going down.

Only been past Stadium Of Light on the train, but there's gonna be a big Rangers display in the Sunderland end. No Surrender banners, Rangers flags the lot.

What's at atmosphere like?

Of course we will accept it! Mate it will be brilliant if you get it sorted. :D

Newcastle always used to fly the Irish tri-colour over one end of St James' Park in the 60's, 70's and 80's whilst we always had the Union Flag flying on the top of Roker Park. :)

We still have the British flag flying outside of the SoL, along with St George's cross of course. ;)

Ha'way the lads!

Sunderland & Newcastle are simply two English football teams, I doubt either would lean one way or the other.

I watched a Rangers v Aberdeen match in Shearers bar (the one were Beasley had a goal chalked off), seemed the bar was split 50/50 at the poor decision. :sherlock:

Didnt we play Sunderland once, and our fans ran amok giving Sunderland fans are right good going over as well as a few chibbings? The mackems got done right in from what i have read.

There was a bit of a pagger outside a pub near the ground, but the events of that day have been totally exaggerated and most Sunderland fans look back fondly on the day the largest travelling support they'r ever seen rolled in to their town :D

And you're too late guys there has already been Rangers gear on display in the Sunderland end this season thanks to me :)

In my experience all the north-east teams are pretty neutral, if slanted towards the tims recently due to players/chairmen/managers.
