Amac9 2,060
One of the most overrated footballers around!
Guest SandyIniesta-Nordahl
He's garbage. People thought he would be some sort of brilliant signing, do they nit wonder why he was never a guaranteed starter under any of his coaches at Chelsea? Amac9 2,060
He strikes me as a bit of a shitebag. And I think that the last couple of injuries he has suffered has took 2-3 yearsof his career.
Goianegra 4,600
Always said it. After his first couple of games at Liverpool thougt I was gonna have to eat my words, but no, worse than ever now. £100k a week my arse. One hit wonder vs Sweden. One hit wonder vs Sweden.Totally agree, that £100k a week salary is scandalous. He never scores and rarely sets any goals up. Not entirely sure what he brings to the team. A bit like Maxi Rodriguez actually, even if he did score today. So many passengers in that team.
Amac9 2,060
DBBTB did the maths on it and he was spot on.Everyone thought getting Joe Cole on a free transfer was an excellent piece of business but his £100,000 a week wages, signing on fee, bonuses and length of contract means the deal will come to around £20m. The Premiership is awash with embarrassingly over-inflated transfer fees and salaries.

Even fantastic players in foreign leagues are valued less than some of the average players in England.

Most leagues in Europe are like that tbh. But I know what you are saying.Players like James Milner, Joleon Lescott, Gareth Barry, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Glen Johnson... go for prices that are way too high for a player of their standard. Even fantastic players in foreign leagues are valued less than some of the average players in England.Exactly. I know it's maybe a bit of a one-off in terms of how much they can afford, but Man City paying Gareth Barry around £100k a week is just disgusting. Is that the going rate for a 'tidy midfielder' in England these days?! Give me La Liga over it any day.

WeeBlue 39
He'd be a good player if everyone would stop sticking him on the left of midfield!!!He was awesome at West Ham all those years ago... Talking of shit, Fernando Torres is totally crap! They should sell him and get 2 quality strikers.

Guest SandyIniesta-Nordahl
But he showed he was good enough...He also won players player of the year, showing he had the potential. The Fulham move was a sideways one which wasn't as successful, one mad move doesn't mean you aren't a very good player. Jimfanciesthedude 24,058
But he showed he was good enough...obviously not, aston villa sold him to a lower EPL cluband then that EPL club didnt play him eventually either, fulham actualy made a loss on him when they sold to usim not saying davis is a poor player or anything, but saying he's just as good on his day as milner i think isnt correct considering milner has cemented his place in the richest team in the world, if milner wasnt good enough for the EPL, they would just buy someone else
