Man Utd beat Bursa 3-0, that is them now through to the knockout stages.

When they come to Ibrox they will probably rest Berbatov, Evra Hernandez and Scholes. Rooney is also injured.

We should have a go at them, their defence isn't the best in the world. Everton, Liverpool, Scunthorpe, Bolton, Fulham, Wolves and West Brom have all scored 2 or more past them, I don't see why we can't score.

I'm still confident for it!

Man Utd will be nothing but excellent opposition, but Ive seen nothing from this Rangers team to suggest we cannot beat them on the night

(tu)

The fact that the players and staff know that we MUST win - unless Bursa somehow get a result - however we are yet almost guaranteed EL football, will be an advantage too.

I'm definitely not saying we will be on the front foot, just that we will be committed on the counter.

Really hope we can get the win but it's pointless unless we can follow it up with a victory in Turkey. If we can go to Turkey still in the mix, I reckon we'll do it :) Bursa's confidence will be in the gutter if Valencia give them a doing - five straight defeats :anguish:

They aren't through yet GEC....Here's a scenario that is improbable but could technically still happen.

It will take a miracle for us to go through to the last 16. Manchester United can't afford to not put their strongest side out against us for fear that technically they could get knocked out in their final game by Valencia

Here's a hypothetical scenario that would give Sir Alex fucking heart failure.

Rangers 1- Manchester Utd. 0

Valencia 2- Bursaspor 0

Going in to match day 6 here is the table.

Valencia P5 W3 D1 L1 GD 8...... pts 10

Man Utd.P5 W3 D1 L1 GD 4.......pts 10

Rangers P5 W2 D2 L1 GD -1.......pts 8

Bursaspor P5 W0 D0 L5 GD -11.....pts 0

Now say we beat Bursaspor in our last game, we end up with 11 points which means that Valencia and Man Utd would have to draw for both of them to go through on goal difference unless we beat Bursaspor by 4 clear goals.

I'd love to see it but I'll bet my nuts that Fergie will have his best line up on the park at Ibrox.

We can beat them if we play like we played against Valencia at Ibrox. Everybody has to be willing to get after them, though - close down, get in their faces, don't give them acres of space and invite them in. Learn from last night and take the fight to them.

Exactly, they've shown they can play on the same level as Man U and if they come out with the right attitude, I'm confident we can at least get a point, hopefully a win though

If we play the tactics employed against Valencia last night, whose defence was there for the taking, then we will again get what we deserve.
