Mattie Burrows' stunning late winner against Portadown has been shortlisted for the Fifa Goal of the Year award.

The Glentoran striker's wonder strike at the Oval on 5 October is one of a shortlist of 10 goals in the running for the Ballon d'Or - Puskas Award.

All the goals will be available to see on the Fifa website later this month and football fans across the world can vote for their favourite.

The winner will be presented with his award in Zurich on 10 January, 2011.

It was funny when SSN announced this.

It went along the lines of ;

'Mattie Burrows has been contacted by Fifa as his goal has been nominated for the Ballon d'Or goal of the year award.

He has already won our SSN goal of the week award'

Yes a SSN goal of the week award is almost incomparable to a Ballon d'Or :sherlock:
