Guest
Madjid Bougherra spoke to the official Rangers site this morning and reiterated his positive outlook on the chances of the club, refusing to concede that the club are only now looking at finishing third in the group. "I don't want to talk about third now because we still have a chance to make the last 16 in the Champions League. We have a home game that we must try to win and we'll see what happens after that."View the full article

SirWalterSmithLegend 206
His ambition may rile a few Bears on here, who are happy with a draw v Inverness and want us to sell our best players for any fee offered.I think his ambition is admirable and really hope we can keep a hold of him.Well Said Boughyman. Thermopylae 15,286
I just hope we don't end up dropping too many silly domestic points trying to stay in the CL ... the priority is 3 in a row
Ozblue 4,331
Well said Boogie.6 points up for grabs, it's absolutely possible. Plus given Man Utd's position, I have a feeling that Sir Alex might field a 'weaker' 11.Given Man Utd's position, I'd be more inclined to think they might put out their strongest 11 and not a "weaker" 11 because they can technically get knocked out if we beat them...and Fergie would have nightmares at that thought. We beat Man Utd and Valencia beat Bursaspor and then we beat Bursaspor in our last game = We end up with eleven points. That means Valencia and Man Utd would go into their last game at Old Trafford with ten points each... You think Sir Eckie is willing to take that risk? I don't think so.
Govan Front Antz 15
Boughie Boughie Boughie Boughie Boughie Boughie Boughie Boughie!Thats the attitude we want in all our players!Agree with the guy that spoke about some fans happy to accept drawing with ICT. Fair enough we will have bad games and the luck will not be on our side but that doesnt mean we dont demand 100% commitment for the cause.
delamonty 992
That's the spirit. AND...It's true! We can get a win vs ManU. Then it's all to play for.11 pts will be ours Bears and we're going thru.

Ozblue 4,331
Given the way our games in Europe have gone this season, I'd like to think we could give Man Utd's strongest team a run for their money...never mind their 2nd 11! I quite agree with that statement of yours mate!....IF we decide to go for their throat in a sensible manner. If we just decide to just sit back and defend, they will beat us through constant pressure, so we have to have an "Out" who can transform our defence into attack and link up with whoever is playing the lone striker. We actually have two players like that in Naismith and Weiss, if they are both fit and Walter has the balls to play both of them. This would mean either McCulloch or Edu sitting on the bench to accommodate Weiss, but that's what I'd do, because as a manager, I would never die wondering. If we really want to try for the last 16 in the CL, we can't afford to go gung-ho from the first whistle, but we can't afford to sit back and hope for a win...we have to go and do it.
